well its been about a month since my goal dress and my weight goal. I am happy to say that I have maintained my weight for the last four weeks. I actually dropped to 145.2 but I am sitting at 147.8 right now. Very pleased with that. And I finally did my measurements and they are very good. I am pleased with them for sure!
Before (measurements were done in April/10)
Waist: 38
Hips: 42
Bust: 38
Before weight in March/10 was 163
After (measurement done Sept 23/10)
Waist: 33
Hips: 40
Bust: 36
After weight (aug & sept 23) was 147.8
So nine inches lost. 9! I've lost 15.2 pounds, at a healthy rate. Very very happy. My energy is so much better, less headaches, and my clothes sure fit differently! I've gotten back to size 8, some items are a 10 but they are loose.
I think the main reasons I was successful were:
1. writing down my goal and keeping track of my food, sharing it on this blog
2. having a great gym to go workout and be motiviated (HEAT studios http://www.heatstudios.com/
3. lots of support from family and friends
4. having a target outfit, the dress. I ordered it a size too small, nothing to motivate you like a dress that you are going to wear in a wedding and try to look good!
I havne't been blogging this month. this has been my busiest work month to date at my new job. Its getting less busy now. But the eating changes, the workouts, etc are now part of my routine and lifestyle. If I were to go back to the evening snacking, the poor choices then my weight would go back up. And that is what happened in the wintertime. I had success before back in 2007/08 and I let my good habits go away. Not anymore. It was too much work to do it all over again!!
thanks for following, will continue to post on occasion. I am still human, with the 'eat feel better' if I am down, or depressed or stressed, so I know my pitfalls. Planning meals is KEY. The secret: eat right and move more!!!!
